
The Indian Army said Tuesday that it had "gunned down" two Pakistani soldiers last night.
The army said the killings had been "retaliatory action" to "unprovoked ceasefire violations" in the Tangdhar sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara.
The army added that its Pakistani counterparts had made "repeated attempts to infiltrate infiltration".
"Indian Army gunned down two Pakistani soldiers last night in a retaliatory action to unprovoked ceasefire violations and repeated attempts to facilitate infiltration by Pakistan Army in Tangdhar Sector," a defence spokesperson said.
