Congress President Rahul Gandhi led a midnight protest on Thursday against the Kathua and Unnao gang rapes at the capital's India Gate.
Rahul Gandhi's sister Priyanka Vadra, who was also present along with her husband Robert Vadra, was pushed by some people in the chaotic crowd. A visibly angry Priyanka asked people to maintain calm and think about the cause for which they had assembled there.
"Nobody will push each other. You should know the reason for which you are here. If you cannot behave go home. Now, all of you will silently walk till there," said Priyanka.
Her husband Robert Vadra, who was also present in the protest march to the India Gate, said the country needs a change where women could feel safe.
A huge crowd had gathered for the march against the alleged rapes of minor girls in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao and Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua. Slogans were also raised against the Modi government.
