Tamil actress Sangeetha arrested for allegedly running prostitution ring

The Chennai police have arrested popular Tamil actress Sangeetha Balan for allegedly running a prostitution ring in the city.
The actress was reportedly involved in flesh trade in a private resort at Panayur in Chennai.
The Chennai police raided the resort on East Coast Road in Chennai after they received information about a sex racket being run by the actress.
The actress used to run the sex racket along with a person named Sathish.
The police have sent Sangeetha and Sathish jail. They were also presented before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore.
The police have also liberated several women who were abducted from different parts of the country including North India. The women have been rescued and sent to a rehabilitation centre.
According to a media report, several other actors were involved in the scandal.
