
Delhi Police on Tuesday filed the status report in Delhi High Court in the Sunanda Pushkar death case, news agency ANI reported, following which the court has listed the matter for final hearing on October 9.
Sunanda Pushkar, wife of senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor who is also an accused int he case, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a suite of a five-star hotel in Delhi on the of January 17, 2014.
The couple was staying in the hotel, as the official bungalow of Shashi Tharoor was being renovated at that time.
Delhi Police, on May 14, filed a charge sheet naming Tharoor as an accused under sections 306 (Abetment of suicide) and 498A (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Tharoor, however, has dismissed the charge sheet describing it as "preposterous".
The Thiruvananthapuram MP was granted bail by the court on July 7 after he appeared before court after he was summoned as an accused.
He was also directed not to leave the country without permission.
