SpiceJet Boeing 737-Max makes emergency landing in Varanasi

A Spicejet Boeing 737-Max made an emergency landing in Varanasi today after the plane's left engine developed a snag.
The 737-Max, with over 140 passengers on board, was flying from Hong Kong to Delhi.All passengers and crew are safe.
The Lion Air jet that crashed in Indonesia in October last year, killing all 189 people on board, had also been a Boeing 737-Max. The plane had crashed in the Java sea some 12 minutes after taking off from Jakarta.
Faulty data from one of the plane's onboard sensors had repeatedly forced the aircraft to tilt its nose down.The Lion Air flight had been commanded by Delhi boy Bhavye Suneja.
Since the crash, Boeing has told WION that the 737-Max is "as safe as any other plane flying out there".
