An alleged diary has surfaced from notorious sand mining baron Sekar Reddy with incriminating details about "payoffs" given to then PWD minister and former chief minister of Tamil Nadu O. Panneerselvam(OPS).

Panneerselvam who is the current deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu and "his associates" feature multiple times in the alleged diary entries of mining baron Shekhar Reddy.

The income tax sleuths allegedly got hold of the diary after a raid on Sekhar Reddy's house. The I-T department reportedly unearthed several thousand demonetised currency and gold from Reddy's residence.

The diary copy dated February 24th, 2016, allegedly names OPS as 'Periyavar' (Elder one), Mannargudi Mahadevan of Mannargudi family and an advocate being "paid in crores".

Names of Manargudi Mahadevan also figure in the diary entry details. Mannargudi Mahadevan is a relative of Sasikala and part of Mannargudi clan.

Periyavar(code name for OPS), Ramesh, who is the personal assistant of OPS and advocate Kasi, who is the son-in-law of OPS and former advocate for Tamil Nadu government housing board are the three prominent names who feature multiple times.

The diary reportedly noted that Ramesh received Rs 1.5 crore on June 22nd, then again Rs 50 lakh on July 14th, Rs 25 lakh on July 20th, after that he received Rs 3.7 lakh on October 28th and Rs 20 lakh on October 31st. 

It amounts to Rs 2.9 crore which he allegedly received over a four-month period.

The son-in-law of OPS advocate Kasi reportedly received Rs 1 crore on August 31st. Periyavar or OPS was allegedly paid Rs 25 lakh on November 16th.

OPS & Ramesh were paid Rs 3.5 crore on August 31st and his advocate was paid Rs 3.7 lakh on October 28th.
