PM Modi to lay foundation stone for Navi Mumbai international airport this Sunday
The NMIAL will be a greenfield airport that will be constructed on 1,160 hectares of land in Navi Mumbai
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport on February 18.
The new airport will be the second international aviation hub for the city. The NMIA will be constructed by the GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd (GVKPIL) at an estimated cost of Rs 16,000 crore. The nodal authority of Maharashtra will oversee the project implementation.
The NMIAL will be a greenfield airport that will be constructed on 1,160 hectares of land in Navi Mumbai, across the Mumbai harbour.
The event will take place this Sunday in the presence of leaders like Maharashtra Governor CV Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Civil Aviation Minister PA Gajapathi Raju, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari along with GVK and CIDCO officials.
