The spy machinery of ISI, Pakistan army and officials of Pak government in Britain are making full-throttle efforts to prevent the extradition of Dawood Ibrahim's top aide Jabir Motiwala to the United States.
Motiwala is one of the trusted aides of Dawood Ibrahim. He was arrested in August 2018 on money laundering and drug trafficking charges, following a tip-off from the FBI.
He was detained by the London police from Hilton Hotel on August 19, 2018, after months of investigations on his financial links to 1993 Mumbai serial blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim and his family.
Hearing the extradition plea of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Monday at the Westminster Magistrates' Court, the D-Company's defence lawyer, backed by Pakistani diplomats, said that Motiwala was suffering from acute depression and cannot be flown to the US to face money laundering, drug trafficking and underworld crime charges, said the reports here.
On August 21, 2018, London's Westminster Magistrate’s Court had denied bail to Jabir.
