India is holding the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections today (May 13). A total of 96 constituencies spread across nine states and one Union Territory (UT) are witnessing elections in the fourth phase. The polling starts at 7 am and will close at 6 pm.

Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 4 key candidates

In the fourth phase, more than 1,700 candidates are in the fray. All constituencies in the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh (25) and Telangana (17) will go to polls. Elections will also be held in some constituencies in the following states:

Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal (8 each) 

Bihar (5)

Odisha and Jharkhand (4 each) and 

Jammu and Kashmir (1).

Prominent candidates in phase 4 include Akhilesh Yadav (Kannauj), Omar Abdullah (Srinagar), Giriraj Singh (Begusarai), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury (Behrampur), Mahua Moitra (Krishnanagar), Shatrughan Sinha (Asansol), Asaduddin Owaisi (Hyderabad) and YS Sharmila (Kadappa).
