The father of the eight-year-oldchild who was brutally raped and killed in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir has demanded a death penalty for the culprits.
Expressing a fear for his life he also said that there was a needfor having security.
He said " We want justice, the culprits should be hanged. We feel the need for having security as anything can happen".
The mother of the victim also demanded a justice for her daughter's horrific rape and death.
The father of the child had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court today seeking a transfer of the case to Chandigarh.
The request for the transfer of the case came after the victim's lawyer claimed that the circumstances in the state would not allow for a fair trial.
Following this, the apex court issued a notice to the Jammu and Kashmir government.
Supreme Court also directed the J&K government to provide police protection to victim's family members and the counsel representing them.
