<p>The father of the eight-year-old&nbsp;child who was brutally raped and killed in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir has demanded a death penalty for the culprits.</p>

<p>Expressing a fear for his life he also said that there was a need&nbsp;for having security.</p>

<p>He said " We want justice, the culprits should be hanged. We feel the need for having security as anything can happen".</p>

<p>The mother of the victim also demanded a justice for her daughter's horrific rape and death.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The father of the child had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court today seeking a transfer of the case to Chandigarh.</p>

<p>The request for the transfer of the case came after the victim's lawyer claimed that the circumstances in the state would not allow for a fair trial.</p>

<p>Following this, the apex court issued a notice to the Jammu and Kashmir government.</p>

<p>Supreme Court also directed the J&K government to provide police protection to victim's family members and the counsel representing them.</p>
