J&K: Man trying to enter Budgam Air Force station shot dead by security forces

An unidentified man was shot by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, after he tried to enter the security zone of Budgam's Airforce station on Monday.

It is speculated to be an alleged terror attack attempt which was successfully foiled by the alert forces.

The man crossed the security fence came close to perimeter wall of the Airforce station.

The sentry fired warning shots but the man did not stop, after which the forces than to shoot him.

There is no information yet on whether the man was armed or not.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
