Jharkhand: 8 dead, 1 injured as truck-car collide

As many as 8 people lost their lives while one 1 injured in a collision between a truck and a Tata Sumo in Jharkhand's Dumka.

The victims are residents of Rasikpur in Dumka who were travelling to Deoghar to take a competitive examination.

According to reports, a speeding truck rammed into the vehicle. The driver fled the spot following the accident.

The police officials believe the accident took place because of dense fog early in the morning.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
