Trudeau has asked India to engage with Canada and urges India to allow justice to take its course.
"There is credible reason to believe agencies of govt of India were involved in the killing of a Canadian on Canadian soil - that is something utmost - foundation of rule of law where international rule of law matters - we have robust process - will follow the course we call govt of India to engage with us and to find the truth of the matter," Trudeau said.
"We stand for rule of law of the international law. We will protect our citizens and we are crystal clear about the safety and protection of our citizens. People come from across the world to Canada for various reasons, but once they become citizens they deserve to be fully protected," added Trudeau.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has commented on the need for Canada to maintain diplomatic parity in terms of the number and rank of diplomats. Currently, Canada has a larger diplomatic presence compared to India. While the specifics are still being discussed, there will be a reduction on the Indian side to achieve this balance.
Additionally, the MEA spokesperson responded to WION and said Canada's allegations appear to be primarily politically driven
