Speaking on her 63rd birthday in Lucknow on Tuesday, BSP supremo Mayawati said her "ideal birthday gift" would be a victory of all joint candidates of SP-BSP alliance.
The former UP chief minister further said that SP-BSP need to forget past differences after the tie-up.
The BSP supremo and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had announced the alliance of their partiesfor the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in a joint press conference on Saturday.
The two leaders will contest 38 each of Uttar Pradesh's 80 seats leaving two seats for other parties.
SP-BSP alliance will not field any candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli and will leave both the seats for the Congress, Mayawati had stated.
Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Mayawati also stressed the need for a strong farm loan waiver policy.
"We have always worked for the poor and the downtrodden. The government should give 100% farm loan waiver else farmer suicides will continue. A strong farm loan waiver policy should be made, "she said.
