Hyderabad medical institute develops app to eliminate long queues in hospitals

In a move that will eliminate long queueof patients in hospitals, aHyderabad based medical institute has developed an application which will help patients toregister themselves online.

Besides doing away with long queues in hospitals, the app will also provide an easy access to medical records, with an option of downloading them.

The director of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) said the move will ensure that hard copy of medical records are not piled up.The plan was initiated in 2014, as part of the hospital management information system. It was launched in July 2017, he added.
