Bhatt, who was sacked by the state govenment in 2015, tweeted on Sunday,"Are there any muslim players in the Indian cricket team?"expressing doubt onBCCI's selection process and creating controversy.

Well known as the 'Turbanator', Harbhajantook to Twitter to voice his opinion."Be ithindu, muslim or sikh, every player in the Indian cricket team is an Indian, their caste andcolour should not be talked about," he said in his tweetwhich got over 8,000 likes.

BCCI selectors announced the teamfor the three-match T20I series against New Zealand on Monday which also included Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami, which Bhatt failed to notice.
