Police on Wednesday said that the body of VG Siddhartha, Cafe Coffee Day founder and son-in-law of former Karnataka chief minister SM Krishna was found floating on water by a local fisherman early Wednesday.

Siddhartha's body was spotted by a local fisherman early morning two days after he went missing. Suspecting that this could be the body of coffee baron Siddhartha, the fisherman alerted the authorities who reached the spot and recovered the body.

Former Karnataka minister UT Khader confirmed the identity of the body.

''Yes, it's his (Siddhartha) body,'' he said and added it's very ''sad'' news.
