Former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted to All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday.
The 93-year-old veteran BJP leader served as the 10th Prime Minister of India.
He has been admitted for a routine check-up and investigations and will be under the supervision of Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director, AIIMS.
According to the officials of the hospital, hiscondition is stable now and a team of doctors under the supervision of Dr Guleria are conducting tests.
Vajpayee first served as the PM for 13 days in 1996 and then from 1998 to 2004.
He is the first non-Indian National Congress leader to complete the full five-year term as the Prime Minister.
