As the 65th National Film Awards were announced today, actress Taapsee Pannu spoke about her film receiving an award.

The film Ghazi won the Best Telugu award in New Delhi. Taapsee was elated on the news and said, “This is the third time I have had the opportunity to be a part of a National Award-winning film. Even though I had a special appearance in the film, it was personally a very satisfying part for me as an actor. I’m ecstatic with the news about the film winning the National Award Honour.”

Taapsee Pannu gained fame in the Hindi entertainment industry with her performance in Pink along with Amitabh Bachchan that dealt with the story of assault, women’s struggle against the system and getting justice. She was last seen in Dil Juunglee along with Saqib Saleem, Abhilash Thapliyal, Nidhi Singh, Ayesha Kaduskar, Srishti Shrivastava and Santosh Barmola. The movie was released on March 9.
