Shashi Kapoor's final rites took place at Santacruz crematorium in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon. The entire Kapoor family was in attendance at the funeral as the late actor's elder son Kunal performed the last rites.
Celebrities braved rains and crowd to attend the funeral of the late actor. Among those who were spotted at the funeral were the Bachchans- Amitabh and Abhishek, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Satish Shah, Naseeruddin Shah and his wife Ratna Pathak Shah, filmmakers Rohan Sippy and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and others.

Rishi, Ranbir, Rajiv andRandhir Kapoor were also spotted at the funeral. Saif Ali Khan, who is married to Kareena Kapoor, came in with Ranbir.Rishi Kapoor who was shooting in Delhi for his upcoming film `Rajma Chawal` cancelled his work and flew back to Mumbai on Monday night.

Many associates of Kapoor family gathered at the main entrance of Prithvi Theatre on Monday. They lit candles to pay their condolences before the photograph of the ever charming superstar of Indian cinema.
The veteran actor had been suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time and breathed his last on Monday evening. He is survived by his three children, Kunal, Karan, and Sanjana.
