
Rani Mukerji’s comeback film post-pregnancy Hichki is performing well at the box office. Going strong each day, “Hichki” has earned a total of Rs 22.70 crore at the domestic box office till Wednesday. It has kept a good hold at the domestic market, recording 62% more earning on its second day of release. The weekday earnings have continued to increase as Monday recorded Rs 2.40 crore, Tuesday Rs 2.35 crore and Wednesday Rs 2.60 crore.
In the film, Rani Mukerji plays the role of a woman suffering from Tourette Syndrome -- a nervous system disorder that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds. Her character in the movie is named Naina Mathur who is passionate to become a teacher.
Ranking high on commercial success and critical, Hichki can easily become one of the most successful films of the year. It was made on a budget of Rs 20 crore that includes Rs 12 crore which is the cost of production and Rs 8 crore (P & A).
