Ajay Devgn-Ileana D'Cruz starrer 'Raid' gets 2nd biggest opening after 'Padmaavat'

The film has become the second highest grosser of 2018 with 41.25 crore earnings in just 3 days
Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'Cruz starrer Raidgets a thumbs up at the box office with the recently released film becoming the second highest grosser of 2018.
Earning41.25 crorein just 3 days, it is second to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's big-ticket film Padmaavat.

Trade expert Ramesh Bala confirmed Raid's box-office mathematics on Twitter and wrote, "Raid takes the 2nd biggest opening for a Bollywood movie after #Padmaavat. Friday 10.04 crores, Saturday 13.86 crores and Sunday 17.35 crores makes it a total of 41.25 crores."
In an interview with DNA, Ajay Devgn praised hisdirector Rajkumar Gupta and said: "With Raid, I thought Raj Kumar can pull it off, seeing what he has done earlier with Aamir and No One Killed Jessica. Once I started shooting this film, I realised he is very good."
Raid is a period drama set in the early 1980s with Lucknow as the background. It revolves around a true incident of the longest raid in history.
