'A Kid Like Jake' trailer: Priyanka Chopra's second Hollywood film looks high on emotions

Trailer for A Kid Like Jake released today starring Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, Octavia Spencer and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.

In what looks like an emotionally-charged film, A Kid Like Jake revolves around a couple (Claire and Jim) that live in Brooklyn with their four-year-old son who is interested in princess and fairy tales. As the child explores his likings and tastes, there is a lot of confusion between the couple who are forced to think of their roles as parents and spouses.

The confusion then develops into tension when Jake’s kindergarten teacher played by Octavia Spencer informs the parents that his gender-nonconforming play may be more than a phase. Our very own desi star Priyanka Chopra is seen in glimpses towards the end of the trailer.

A Kid Like Jake was premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2018 and the whole team attended the event. Priyanka shared a series of photos and videos on her Instagram page.

Speaking about the film at an earlier occasion, Priyanka said on Instagram, "So proud to be a part of #AKidLikeJake, a story that humanizes the struggle of parents trying to do right by their kid.
