Doctor kills ex-wife, keeps her 'alive' on social media for 7 months

A Gorakhpur-based doctor and owner of a hospital killed his ex-wife but kept her "alive" on social media for seven months.

The doctor told people hisex-wife was in Assam while simultaneously updating her social media profiles.

Dr Dharmendra Pratap Singh killed his ex-wife Rakhi on June 6, 2018 by throwing her off a cliff in Pokhara, Nepal. He had two employees help him.

Singh and the two aides, PK Singh and Deshdeepak Nishad, were arrested from Gorakhpur's Daudpur area on Saturday and sent to prison.

Rakhi's mobile phone was traced to Guwahati.

Police and her family had continued to believe she wasin Assam because her phone was there.

It later emerged that Singh had sent Rakhi's phone to Guwahati through an aide, who dropped it off there.
