Recently, after it was reported that the former lovers would come together to walk for Indian designer Manish Malhotra for his show, Mijwan on April 9 -- social media users expressed their disappointment at the pairing.
Many took to Twitter and Instagram to say that they would have preferred to see Ranveer Singh with Deepika rather than Ranbir Kapoor, especially at a time when a leading Mumbai-based daily reported that Singh and Padukone are set to tie the knot by end of this year. Some also pointed out that is a marketing gimmick employed by Malhotra who wants to capitalise on Ranbir-Deepika’s past relationship.
