A major fire erupted in one of the coaches of the Patna Fast Passenger Train at Sasaram railway station on Monday morning. The incident came just a day after a blaze was reported on the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express in Madhya Pradesh.

A massive fire broke out in a coach of the Patna Fast Passenger Train at Sasaram railway station in Bihar on Monday morning (May 18). The incident occurred a day after a fire erupted on the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express in Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred at Sasaram railway station at Platform No. 6, where one of the passenger coaches suddenly caught fire and was completely gutted. Railway officials confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident. A major mishap was averted thanks to the swift action of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and local residents present at the station.

Fire brigade teams immediately reached the scene and launched firefighting operations. Following sustained efforts, the blaze was successfully brought under control. Initial reports indicate that the fire may have broken out due to a short circuit inside the coach. Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
