A tourist died in Jammu and Kashmir's Narbal area on Monday after he was injured in a stone pelting attack in the valley.

The tourist hailed from Chennai and is identified as a 22-year-old R Thirumani.

The 22-year-oldsustained injuries after he was hit by protesters, a media reported.

The incident took place on Monday morning on the outskirts of Srinagar.

The injured was shifted to a hospital where he died at around 8:30 in the evening. He had initially slipped into a coma.

A week before two students also got injured after the protesters threw stones at a school bus.
