The threat emails sent to several schools in Delhi were sent between 8:30 am and 9:00 am, said the police. A similar email was also sent threatening a blast in the Parliament a few days later.
At least 10 schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Monday. Delhi Police, fire teams, and bomb disposal squads are on the spot to carry out security checks. According to police, the threat mails were sent between 8:30 am and 9:00 am.
"A total of 10 schools received bomb threats today. Fire service teams immediately reached the premises. Checking is underway," a DFS official said.
The email contained provocative message claiming "Delhi will become Khalistan. Punjab is Khalistan. In memory of Afzal Guru."
A threat email was also sent saying that a blast would take place in Parliament on February 13 at 1:11 pm.
