
The police in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh arrested Javed, who is the second accused in the Badaun double murder case on Wednesday night (Mar 20) from Bareilly.
Javed is the brother of barber Sajid who allegedly hacked two children to death in Baba Colony on Tuesday (Mar 19) and was later killed in a police encounter.
According to the Indian media channels, Javed had switched off his phone and ranto Delhi. He came back supposedly to surrender and was caught by the police at the Bareilly bus stand.
He was handed over to the Pilibhit police by the Bareilly police. A cash reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on Javed by the police.
Speaking about the case to the news agency ANI, SSP Badaun Alok Priyadarshi earlier said, "Five teams have been constituted to nab the other absconding accused in the case. A reward of Rs 25,000 has been on his arrest. The post-mortem report reveals that the marks of the wound resemble the shape of the murder weapon. The younger boy had two injuries on his neck and face. The cause of death was identified as shock and haemorrhage in the post-mortem report. Further investigation is underway."
As per the post-mortem report, 14 wound stabs were on elder son Aayush's body and nine on his younger brother Ahaan, which totalled 23 stab wounds.

Meanwhile, DM Badaun Manoj Kumar said, "SSP Badaun had requested a magisterial inquiry into the case. For inquiry into the case, we have appointed the city magistrate (senior PCS officer) to conduct an inquiry & submit his report in the next 15 days."
Meanwhile, in a video,sourced to the police, Javed is heard saying, "I ran straight to Delhi and from there I havecome to Bareilly to surrender. I have received phone calls from people about what my brother did."
According to the police, the accused, Sajidhad a barber shop opposite the house of the victim in Baba Colony and was an acquaintance of the children's father, Vinod.
The man on Tuesday evening (Mar 19), entered their house and asked for tea from the family members, said the police.
Once the elders left the room, the man climbed to the terrace where three children of Vinod - Aayush (13), Ahaan (7) and Piyush (6) - were present.

The man slit the throats of the two elder children and also attacked Piyush before running away from the crime scene, said the police.
In a police encounter, the murderer was shot dead after he fired at the cops while fleeing.
Remembering the horrific moment, the mother of the kids said, "He came to my home and asked me for Rs 5000. After I gave him the money, he went upstairs where my sons were playing. Then, he mercilessly killed my sons. I want justice. Questioning should be done in front of us."
