AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi writes to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao requesting him for de-reservation of Urdu medium posts.

According to the 1950 Presidential order in Article 341 of the Indian Constitution, only Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists can be Dalits and not Christians or Muslims.
The order initially said that a non- Hindu could not be regarded as a Scheduled Caste. This order was further amended in 1956 and 1990 to include Sikhs and Buddhists respectively.
