Allahabad: Colony puts up posters banning entry of BJP members after recent rapes

In the wake of the rising number of rapes in the country, residents of a colony in Allahabad have put up posters outside their houses restricting entry of politicians and BJP leaders.

The people of Shivkuti colony in Allahabad have put up posters outside their houses, stating "entry of politicians and members of BJP is prohibited".

According to the locals, the posters have been put up by the people because of their belief that BJP workers wereresponsible for the rising number ofrapes and crime against women.

The horrific rape and murder of an eight-year-old in Kathua Jammu and Kashmir shook the entire nation recently. The girl was held captive for several days, sedated and gang-raped for several days before being killed.

While in UttarPradesh an MLA has been arrested for allegedly raping a teen. The girl alleged that she was held captive in a hotel room by the district administrationwith guards surrounding her.
