1 CRPF soldier, policeman killed in encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand

A CRPF personnel from CoBRA battalion and a policeman succumbed to their injuries on Thursday in an encounter with Maoists in Saraikela, Jharkhand.

The gunbattle between the security forces and Maoists began on Thursday morning after theJharkhand Police and 209 CoBRA battalion launched a Search and Destroy Operation against the Maoists in the state

The heavy firing between the two forces has concluded now and the security forces have launched a search operation.
