
Bigg Boss OTT season 2 winner and YouTuberElvish Yadav was attested on Sunday (March 17)by Noida Police inthe snake venom case. Yadav was accused ofsupplying snake venom at the rave partyin Noida's Sector 51 on November 3 last year.
Yadav was detained by Noida police after forensic reportsrevealed that the sample seized from the rave party contained snakevenom.On March 17, he was reportedly called forquestioning after which he was arrested. He will be presented in the court on Sunday,Indian news agency ANI quoted DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra as saying.
“Noida Police arrests YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. He will be presented in the Court today: DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra. Further details awaited,” the post on X reads.
Social media influencer Elvish Yadav and his involvement in the snake venom case has been one of the most talked about topics in recent months. In November 2023, an FIR was lodged against Elvish and five others for allegedlysupplying snake venom to different parties. His name emerged afterUttar Pradesh's Noida Police raided a rave party on suspicion ofsnake venom being used after getting a tip-off from NGO People for Animals (PFA) last year.The police rescuednine snakesincluding five cobras, and 20 ml of suspected snake venom from the same banquet hall in Noida.
In the FIR, complainant Gaurav Gupta of PFA also mentioned Elvish Yadav's videos that showed him with live snakes.
The 26-year-old social media star has denied all the charges against him claiming that all are fake as he promised to fully cooperate with the ongoing police investigation. Elvish was questioned on November 7, when he allegedly claimed that singer Fazilpuria supplied snakes to the rave partyfor avideo shoot.
"When I woke up in the morning, I saw reports that I had been arrested, and I was caught with intoxicating substances. All these reports and charges against me are fake. There isn't even 1% truth to them," he said in a video posted on social media on Friday (Nov 3) after an FIR was filed against him.
