Rockstar Jon Bon Jovi is earning a lot of praise for saving the life of a woman, who was trying to jump off a bridge.

The incident took place earlier this week when Jovi was filming a music video on a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee, when an elderly woman was standing on the ledge of a Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

On spotting the woman, Jovi and his team walked towards her and stopped her from jumping off.

A surveillance video, released by The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, of the bridge that's onthe Cumberland River showed Jovi and his team walking to the woman as they talked and helped her come back onto the bridge.

The video showed the Grammy-winning singer walking with the woman as he persuaded her to come back on the pedestrian walkway and gave her a warm hug.

Sharing a clip on X, the police department of Nashville said, ''A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night. Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.

"It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,"--Chief John Drake.

The singer was filming a music video on the bridge, which was also open to the public at the time of the incident.

Soon after the video went viral, netizens were quick to hail the rockstar.

''Bon Jovi was seen approaching a 62-year-old woman on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The musician leaned over the railing before hoisting the woman to safety and embracing her. It takes all of us to help keep each other safe, the Nashville PD said. A shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman in Nashville on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night," they wrote.

Another wrote,''Not a fan of Jon Bon Jovi, but credit where credit’s due. Great job@jonbonjovi.''
