Soni Razdan, Swara Bhasker have epic response to Anupam Kher's political tweet

Actor Anupam Kher who is known for being vocal on the social media came under fire from colleagues from the entertainment industry as he took a dig at people supporting opposition political parties.

As the general elections 2019 are around the corner, Kher wrote: “So some people from my fraternity have issued a letter for the public to vote out the present constitutionally elected government in the coming elections. In other words, they are officially campaigning for opposition parties. Good!! At least there are no pretensions here. Great.”

It didn’t go down too well with others from the entertainment industry as celebs like Soni Razdan, Swara Bhasker and others slammed him for this thought. Soni raised an important question in reply to his tweet and wrote, “Anupam if you can align yourself to the present Govt why would you think others doing the same is any different? Just curious.”

Kher then defended his stance and wrote, “Dearest Soni! It was an observation. Not a complaint.:)” to which Soni replied sarcastically, “Acha jee :).”

Swara also took a digat Kher and wrote, “Yes, it’s called democracy sir :) :) :) ❣️❣️❣️Bharat Mata ki Jai! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳.” He then replied to her and wrote, “Agreed!!! As long as it is not confused with #Intolerance when others use it. Jai Ho and Jai Hind.😍🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳.”

Almost 700 artists including names such as Naseeruddin Shah, Nandita Das, Ratna Pathak Shah and Anurag Kashyap have urged the electorate to vote for “love and compassion, for equality and social justice, and to defeat the forces of darkness and barbarism”. They said, “Our appeal – vote bigotry, hatred, and apathy out of power. Vote against the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and its allies… Vote for secular democratic, inclusive India… Vote wisely,” read the statement.
