It’s been a while since we have heard of Shah Rukh Khan signing up for any film after the debacle that his last film, ‘Zero’ proved to be. Now, it seems that Khan has shortlisted on a project and he is rumoured to be up for announcing it soon.
According to media reports, Khan might soon appear in a Tamil film. The movie is said to be a masala entertainer that will be directed by commercially successful filmmaker Atlee.
Confirming the news on Twitter, trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote that the film will be titled ‘Sanki’ and the announcement is said to be made on November 2, Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday.
At an event held to promote Atlee’s Diwali release, ‘Bigil’, fellow director Harish Shankar hinted at a possible collaboration between SRK and Atlee. Shankar said, “The news is coming out. I don’t know how immediately it’s going to happen but I am praying to all the gods to make it happen that Atlee sir is going to direct King Khan (aka) SRK. Being a huge fan of SRK, I am waiting for this combo so that I can also come for that function and see SRK. I am a huge fan of King Khan (sic).”
Atlee reportedly smiled when this was being said.
Earlier, Khan had flown down to Chennai and met Tamil filmmaker Atlee. Reports suggest that during the meeting, Atlee narrated a script to SRK, which the latter agreed to be a part of.
They then left for Chepauk Stadium in Chennai to watch the ongoing IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. Shah Rukh Khan had even tweeted a selfie while departing from the Chennai airport.
