Selena Gomez made a group of high school students' dreams come true during her recent trip to Telluride, Colorado. The Only Murders in the Building actress was in town for the 2024 Telluride Film Festival to promote her new movie Emilia Pérez, when she received a special request she simply couldn’t resist.

On Saturday, August 31, Gomez shared on Instagram that she attended a local high school volleyball game after fans created a sign asking her to come. The bright orange note, pinned to a bulletin board, asked the "Single Soon" singer to sing the National Anthem at one of their home games. Decorated with hearts and accompanied by a coach's email, the note caught Gomez's attention.

"They asked!! Couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride!" Gomez captioned her post, which included a photo of the fan-made sign.

Though the post didn’t feature footage of Gomez singing, it did include a video of her walking into the school’s gym to the sound of excited fans calling her name. In the video, she is seen saying, "I saw the sign and so I had to come." Her surprise visit was met with applause by students and attendees.

Gomez also took out time from her busy schedule to take a group photo with the volleyball team and sign autographs in a packed hallway.
