Rapper Travis Scott arrested in Paris after fight with security guard

American rapperTravisScott continues to dominate the headlines. A few days after his arrest in Miami, Florida the Grammy-winner on Friday (Aug 9) was taken into custody in Paris, Franceforunspecified violence against a security guard.

On August 9, Scott wasarrestedin the early hours atParis' luxury Georges V hotel."I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard," the Paris prosecutor's officer said in a statement to People.

In the early hours of the day, Scott, 33, was seen fighting withhis bodyguard when thesecurity guardtried to break up the two men. A criminal investigation had been opened.

"The latter had himself intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The 1st judicial police district was seized of the investigation by the Paris prosecutor's office," the statement added.

Scott is in Paris for the ongoingOlympic Games, and on Thursday, he was spotted watchingthe men’s basketball semi-final match betweenUSA andSerbia at the Bercy Arena.

Several French media reportssaidthatScottwas drunk.

In June, Travis, whosereal name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, wasarrested and booked for disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges in Miami.
