Just yesterday, ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was called out in Bollywood’s own #MeToo as a woman accused him of sexual assault.

The director has denied all allegations subsequently. In a statement, he said,"I was completely shocked when these allegations were brought to my notice about two months back. I had suggested immediately that it is essential to take this matter to any committee or legal body. The complainant has chosen to go to the media instead. I want to very strongly state that this is a false malicious and mischievous story being spread with the sole intention of destroying my reputation."

As the news shocked the entire Bollywood fraternity, many actors who have worked in his films took to Twitter to share their concerns. While Dia Mirza who starred in his ‘Sanju’ called the news “deeply depressing”, ‘3 Idiots’ star Sharman Joshi started a campaign to defend him -- #IStandForRajuHirani

In a tweet, Sharman said that Raju Hirani is “a man of immense integrity, character and honour” and that he stands by him.
