Rajinikanth is back home after 4 days of hospitalisation 

Indian superstar Rajinikanth was discharged from hospital in Chennai on Friday after undergoing elective surgery this past week. The actor was admitted to Chennai's Apollo Hospital on September 30 after he complained of discomfort and stomach pain.

Later, the hospital released a statement revealing that the Tamil superstar had a swelling in his aorta in heart which was treated using a non-invasive method. A stent was placed in the lower abdomen of the actor as well.

“Mr Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on 30th September 2024. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (aorta), which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method. Senior interventional Cardiologist, Dr Sai Satish placed a stent in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling (Endovascular Repair). We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Mr Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days. (sic)” read the statement issued by the hospital.

The veteran actor is expected to start work after a dew weeks of rest for his next film Coolie which is being helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and also features Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao and Shruti Haasan.

His next release will be Vettaiyan which also co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier and Fahad Fasil.Vettaiyan trailer: It'sRajinikanthvs Amitabh Bachchan in the film
