Lata Mangeshkar's health remains critical: Doctors

Four days since she was admitted to the hospital, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar continues to be on the life support. The singer was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday afternoon after she complained about breathing difficulty.

Sources in the hospital have stated that there has been some marginal improvement in her health but her condition continues to be critical.

Sources have also stated that the singer will not be discharged from hospital in the next 7-10 days. She is being treated under Dr Pratik Samdhani.

Earlier on Wednesday, Mangeshkar's family issued a statement assuring fans that the singer's health was improving. "Lata di is stable and much better. Thank you very much for your prayers. We are awaiting her to be at her best so she can be home soon. Thank You for being with us and respecting our privacy," the statement read.

Mangeshkar is reportedly suffering from a viral infection which resulted in breathing problems.
