Jamaican artist sues Jay-Z and Beyonce for not giving her credit in 2018 track 'Black Effect'

Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce are facing a federal copyright infringement lawsuit from Jaimaican artist Dr. L'Antoinette Stines, who claims they took her work and did not give her credit for it.
She said she felt “artistically raped” after the episode.
According to a report in TMZ, Stines said that Jay-Z and Beyonce approached her in March 2018 seeking local dancers to perform in a promotional video for a tour. She was told it would be used only for “promotional purposes” as she recorded a clip in which she talked about the concept of love.
Stines signed a contract with the Carters, giving them permission to use it but she later found out that it was an important part of a track.
The said track is a part of The Carters' 2018 album ‘Everything Is Love’.
Stines has requested damaged in the case and told the court their use of her voice violated her right to publicity.
