Blood, revenge, dragons – House of the Dragon will show the exact series of events that led to the downfall of the greatest house of the fantasy world of Westeros.
Season 2 trailer teases an imminent civil war between the two warring factions – Team Green and Team Black. While both factions claim the Iron Throne courtesy of their common father, the dead king – one accuses the other of playing tricks and mind games to get close to the throne.
With an urgency in the tone and pace of the series, the new trailer shows rising conflict between King’s daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen and the king's firstborn son, Aegon (with the second wife).
Based on George RR Martin's novel Fire & Blood, the new season is setting up the book's storyline known as 'Dance of the Dragons', which pits the Targaryen family against each other.
As King Aegon II usurps Rhaenyra's throne, Team Blacks led by Rhaenyra and Daemon plan an invasion of King's Landing to claim the Iron Throne.
