Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of pattern of abuse much before infamous 2016 plane incident

The legal battle between former partners Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt just intensified as the former accused the latter of a pattern of abuse while their court case over French vineyards continuesto linger.

Lawyers on Angelina’s side filed new court documents claiming that Brad Pitt has a disturbing pattern of abuse and that he should be outed for his behaviour in public. These allegations of physical abuse are fresh and some suggest it's Angelina Jolie’s way of getting back at Brad Pitt for filing an ownership case over French vineyards.

What is this new case about?

Brad Pitt had recently won in the Chateau Miraval estate case. Brad’s legal team was apparently trying to take Angelina to court for not giving him the “first refusal” as per their agreement.

On the other hand, Angelina Jolie's legal team has alleged that Brad prevented her from selling her share of the winery until she signed an “onerous” and “expansive” Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which she was unwilling to sign.

The legal defence for Angelina said that this was a classic case of chauvinism and abuse and that it all started way before the widely known plane case of abuse. They said, “While Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well. Jolie then immediately left him.”

According to court documents which became public at the time of news of their separation, Brad Pitt was reportedly abusive towards Angelina Jolie before the infamous 2016 plane incident which involved their children, and Jolie filed for a divorce shortly thereafter. New claims suggest Brad Pitt allegedly proposed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to Jolie that would prevent her from speaking about any personal misconduct by him.

According to Angelina’s lawyers, Brad “wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement” after learning in 2021 that she had submitted sealed documents to help settle their child custody battle.

Reportedly, Brad agreed to purchase Angelina Jolie’s shares in a French winery after learning about the sealed documents but later changed his mind because he feared that the sealed documents might become public.

In a statement given to PageSix, the attorney of Angelina said, "MrPitt refused to purchase MsJolie’s interest when she would not be silenced by his NDA. By refusing to buy her interest but then suing her, Mr Pitt put directly at issue why that NDA was so important to him and what he hoped it would bury: his abuse of Ms Jolie and their family.”
