Orry, social media influencer, summoned from Mumbai Police over Rs 252 crore drugs case

Mumbai Police has sent a summons to Orry, a renowned social media personality, in his alleged connection with the Rs 252-crore drug case.

Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, has been asked to appear before the Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Ghatkopar unit tomorrow (Nov 20) at 10 AM for questioning: Mumbai Police, ANI has learned.

During interrogation, the accused stated that they had organised several drug parties in India and abroad and had named several Bollywood celebrities, such as Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zeeshan Siddiqui, Orry, Abbas Mastan and several other A-listers, for whom they had allegedly organised drug parties and supplied narcotics.

This summons relates to March 2024, when police discovered a massive mephedrone seizure of 126.14 kg of mephedrone, commonly known as ‘MD’, worth around ₹252 crore, in Sangli district.

The two individuals were recently arrested in connection with the case and deported from Dubai in late January.

Shaikh, who is now in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Cell's (ANC) Ghatkopar unit, had named several A-listers, including the nephew of noted gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

The ANC is currently probing the case and whether more such parties were organised in connection with celebrities.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time when Orry has landed himself in a legal trouble. In March, an FIR was lodged against Orry and several individuals for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, Jammu & Kashmir.


As per a press release from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, via ANI, "Taking cognizance of the complaint regarding an issue involving certain guests who were staying at Hotel of Katra and found taking Alcohol, Katra police has lodged an FIR on March 15 against Orhan Awatramani (ORRY), Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina, who consumed alcohol in hotel premises despite being told that alcohol and non-vegitarian diet is not allowed inside Cottage Suite as it is strictly prohibited at such a divine place of Mata vaishnodevi pilgrimage."


The release noted, “Sensing the gravity of the matter, strict instructions were passed by SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh (JKPS) to nab the defaulters, thereby setting an example of no tolerance of any such act of drugs or alcohol at religious places, which hurts the sentiments of the common masses.”
