Saif Ali Khan hospitalised in Mumbai, undergoes surgery for an old injury

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has reportedly been hospitalised. According to media reports, the actor was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on Monday, January 22 and underwent a tricep surgery for an old injury that got triggered while performing an action sequence for his latest movie.He is now well on his way to making a speedy recovery, his team has assured.

Saif Ali Khan’s actress-wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been reported to be by her husband’s side at the hospital, where the actor is currently admitted.

Khan himself thanked fans for their well wishes and assured he was doing better. In a statement issued to the media, the actor said, "This injury and the surgery that followed is a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well wishers for their love and concern."

The actor was seen last month as a guest on Karan Johar's popular chat show Koffee With Karan Season 8. The actor appeared on the show with his mother, legendary actress Sharmila Tagore. While speaking about Kareena, Saif said how she had influenced him in his life. "I think in terms of time management, health, exercise, routine, discipline, patience. Phenomenal things.” Saif and Kareena got married in October 2012. They share two sons - Taimur and Jeh.

Before Bebo, Saif was married to Amrita Singh, with whom, he shares two children – Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. They separated in 2004.

The actor was last seen in Om Raut's Adipurush which was based on Ramayan. Saif played the character of Lankesh which was based on Ravan's character.
