Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 trailer out! Dibakar Banerjee's next exposes the sensationalism of digital world

Indian filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee is once again pushing the boundaries of storytelling with his much-anticipated Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2, a sequel to his 2010 film Love Sex Aur Dhoka. The movie, which is produced by Ektaa Kapoor, features Mouni Roy, Swastika Mukherjee, Tusshar Kapoor, Uorfi Javed, Nimrit Ahluwalia, Paritosh Tiwari, Bonita Rajpurohit, and Anu Malik among others in pivotal roles.

The film's recently released trailer gives a glimpse into the lives of three individuals as they go through a rollercoaster of emotions.Drawing parallels to the dramatic setups of reality TV shows like Bigg Boss, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2sheds light on the complexities of modern relationships and self-discovery in the digital age. Itis about love, friendship, and struggles with one's own identity.

One of the central narratives of the film explores the sensationalism of reality TV, which leads a person to go to extreme lengths for TRP, with some even resorting to violence. Additionally, the film sheds light on the challenges faced by a trans person and delves into the dark side of social media, stressing how an obsession with online clout can have devastating consequences.

While sharing the trailer on Instagram, the makers wrote, "Served HOT for the digital generation (heart emoji) Once again there will be Love, Sex aur Dhokha (Cheat)!"

Before the release of the film's teaser, Dibakar shared a video on social mediato clarify that he was going to show the truth in the film, no matter how dark. He said, "Making LSD and not showing the truth is not possible. So, while making LSD 2, we portrayed the same truth, an authentic picture of life that we see all around us. But, these days, instead of believing the truth, the fashion of ignoring the truth has increased. So, if you are in that fashion, then I can give you a disclaimer that you should not watch the LSD 2 teaser or trailer."

Meanwhile, Ektaa Kapoorrecently shared in a Variety interview that she intends to go into hiding after LSD 2's release because of trolls and hate comments. Ekta said, "Thank You for Coming has left a very strange pain in my heart because of the kind of reception it got in India, vis-a-vis the reception it got overseas, I don’t know what happened. And the hate spamming we went through – our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s gonna happen when LSD 2 comes. I think I’ll have to hide again."

LSD 2is all set to release in theatres on April 19.
