Bharat: Salman Khan thanks fans for giving him his career-best opening

The film managed to become a crowd-puller even though it clashed with two major events -- India’s first cricket match in the World Cup Tournament and release of another highly anticipated film ‘Dark Phoenix’.

Salman then took to Twitter to thank his fans for showering him with love.

He wrote, "Big thank you sabko for giving sabse bada opening mere career ka par what made me the happiest & proudest is ki during a scene in my film jab national anthem is recited everyone stood up as a mark of respect. There could be no bigger respect for our country than this... Jai Hind (sic)."

For Salman this is a big relief as after two consecutive failures at the box office -- ‘Tubelight’ and ‘Race 3’, this Eid release has brought good numbers for him.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this is the third time when he and Salman have collaborated for a film.
