'Avengers: Endgame' new clip reveals why Captain Marvel was not part of the series before

We are literally counting days now to the release of this year's biggest film 'Avengers: Endgame'. The final Avengers film is set to hit the screens on 26th April and fans are lapping up whatever content that Marvel is sharing.
On Monday, MCU shared the first dialogue clip from the film that not only gives an insight on how the remaining heroes are planning to fight Thanos but also explains Captain Marvel's absence from previous Avengers films.
The clip shows Bruce Banner, Black Widow, Captian Marvel, Captain America, Thor and War Machine at the Avengers headquarters discussing their next step.
As Black Widow(Scarlet Johansson) informs that Thanos has again used the stones to the rest in the room, when Banner(Mark Ruffalo) says, "We'd be going in short-handed, you know?" Also see:'Avengers: Endgame' press event had empty chairs to remember the fallen heroes
"Look, he's still got the stones, so..." adds James Rhodes, aka War Machine (Don Cheadle).
"So, let's get them," Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) promptly answers. And suggests to use the Infinity stones to "bring everyone back."
"Just like that?" asks Banner. "Yes, just like that," Chris Evans' Captain America responds.
"If we do this, how do we know it's going end any differently than it did before?" asks Banner, again.
"Because before, you didn't have me," Captain Marvel replies. To which War Machine asks, "Hey, new girl! Everybody in this room is about their superhero life and if you don't mind me asking where the hell have you been all this time?"
"There are a lot of other planets in this universe and unfortunately they didn't have you guys," answers Captain Marvel referring to how she was busy saving other planets.
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) who has been quiet the whole time, suddenly comes forward and stands in front of Captain Marvel. As he summons his axe and the weapon flies past her head, Captain Marvel doesn't even flinch."I like this one," Thor then tells Black Widow.
Talking about joining the Avengers universe, Larson in an interview had said, "This film (Endgame) will always be personally dear to me because it was my first time playing Captain Marvel. We shot this first so I had to stumble and figure out who this character was with no script for this and no script for 'Captain Marvel', either, and perform for the first time in front of legends."
'Avengers: Endgame' has been directed by Russo Brothers and features Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Karen Gillan, Josh Brolin, Gwyneth Paltrow, Letitia Wright, Samuel L Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Jon Favreau, Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson.
